Celebrating its 28th year, Talkeetna Aero Services began as an aircraft maintenance facility for the air taxis at the Talkeetna State Airport. Still under the same Alaskan ownership, it operates a fleet of twin-engine aircraft, taking visitors to "The Summit" since 1999. The owner Eric Denkewalter is a former F-4* pilot and squadron maintenance officer in the United States Marine Corps, and has been flying in Talkeetna and the Alaska Bush since 1979. Fly Denali, operating since 1997, is a National Park Service concessionaire with permission to land within the Denali National Park boundary. Fly Denali offers the only flights from the Denali National Park entrance area that actually land on Mt McKinley's pristine glaciers inside the Park. Jim Trumbull is a long-time Alaska resident, and a former Denali National Park seasonal ranger and biological technician, with backcountry and mountaineering expertise.
